Roofing Over Existing System
Roof Issues: The old bitumen membrane system began to fail after 8 years of installation due to poor installation from previous installers. The Membranes were installed in the opposite way, and the elements (Snow, water, ice) were able to get underneath the membrane system and leak into the building.
Our work: After examining the roof, our team of professional installers pressure cleaned the roof, we installed a protectorboad on top of the current system, then heat welded 180 base sheet membrane, finishing with a properly installed 250 cap sheet membrane. We also installed 2 new vents to help circulate moisture in the roof.
Time Frame & Specs: This project took our team 4 days to complete with 4 professional team members on site. The size of the work was roughly 3,200 sq.ft
Full Rip Off and Re-Build from Sheathing
Roof Issues: The traditional tar and gravel roof has many flaws and is bound to leak within time. The issue with Tar and Gravel roofing systems is that it’s extremely difficult to repair leaks, as it’s very hard to find them! The best solution for situations such as this is Flat Roof Replacement.

Our work: After examining the roof, our team of professional engineers decided it was best to rip off the old roofing system and build it from scratch. We began by removing all the gravel from the roof. Afterward we ripped off the old roofing system to the sheathing (Roof Deck). Once we were ready to start building the new system we began by laying a vapor barrier above the sheathing, then installing 3” iso insulation board, we later, installed a protectorboad on top of the insulation, then heat welded 180 base sheet membrane, finishing with installing 250 cap sheet membrane.

Roof Issues: The weight of ice and snow had broken the roof trusts, and collapsed the roof, caused the modified bitumen membrane to split in many sections causing massive leaks within the apartment complex.
Our work: After examining the roof, our team of engineers noted structural damages to the roof. Our team cut open the roof, removed all the damaged membrane and trusts holding the roof together. We replaced all the wood trusts, built 4 new supporting " Pony Walls" to support the new roof. After building the structural support, we installed new wood sheathing, installed a vapour barrier, installing 180 base membrane, and finishing by torching 250 cap membrane on top/

Tar and Gravel Build Over
Roof Issues: Any roof, after 20-30 years will need to be replaced. This particular tar & gravel roof was 25 years old and had many cracks in the membrane causing severe leaks within the commercial space. It's very difficult to repair these older types of roofs due to the difficulty to find cracks under the gravel.
Our Work: Since this roof was still structurally sound, there was no need to strip the roof to original sheathing base. Our team began by removing all the gravel, then pressure washed the old membrane. We installed 3” iso insulation board, installed protectoboard, then installed (torched) 180 base sheet, finishing with 250 cap sheet (torched)
Time Frame & Specs: This roof was 8,500 sq.ft. It took our team 5 days to complete with 6 team members onsite.
New Build Roof
Roof Issues: As this was a new build roof, there were no roof issues.
Our Work: Our team began by cleaning the roof with air blowers to insure the wood was dry and clean. Then continued to mechanically fasten IKO protector board and torched down 180 IKO base and 250 cap. Once everything was installed, the team did a seem check to make sure the work was done clean and properly.
